"Mark Alley has worked in law enforcement for over 23 years, first as a reserve deputy sheriff and then full time for Sacramento County. He took his BA from California State University, Sacramento in 1978. He has been a sworn Deputy US Marshal, and worked with the FBI on a fugitive task force. He has been trained by the FBI and FLETC. His assignments for the Sheriff’s Department have included Patrol and Detectives, where he has worked in Theft, Warrants, Child Abuse, Robbery and Homicide. He has always been involved in training and worked as both a Reserve Training Officer and Field Training Officer in Patrol. He has almost 20 years’ experience in driver’s training, beginning in 1984, and has graduated from state and federal law enforcement driver training programs. In 1998 he was part of the original full-time SSD driver’s training staff, where he was given the opportunity to rebuild the entire program from the ground up. Promoted to sergeant in 2001, Mark worked in Communications and then became the department’s Range master. He moved back to EVOC as supervisor in March of 2003."
